recording an album, vol. III
Posted on November 3rd, 2010, by irahello ladies and dudes,
pushing the record-button is so easy, if you want it. this time we chose the dark path to the old fashioned 16-track style and layed down bass- and drumtracks in our rehearsal-space on last saturday. but (of course) we were not ira, if our little endeavour hadn’t been molested by unforseeable technical breakdowns in the first place … long story short: computer said “no”.
but with the helping hands of supervisor pat “the overhead” hagmann and a cool, equipment-lending dude called rainer, we eventually captured the basics of what will become our third album.
it has no name yet (working title: islamrocksass), consists of four songs, is neither a full-length nor a quickie and should be out sometime around 2015 (if roland emmerich is proved wrong).
if we manage to agree upon a title, ira vol.III will (of course) be released by timo of golden antenna records again, cause we love that dude for what he does (and for what not.)
good night and good luck!

stuttgart-gig cancelled
Posted on September 16th, 2010, by irahey folks,
bad news. We’re really sorry to inform you that we have
to cancel the show in Stuttgart on 25th of September
with This Will Destroy You.
A clash of dates and schedules occurred and our singer
Toby has to say: “Sorry, I fucked up!”
We hate to cancel shows, because it always puts other
people in trouble and we love to play …
SORRY !!!

new songs on the horizon
Posted on June 13th, 2010, by irahowdy,
we worked out some fine new tunes - waiting to get recorded for a 10″.
the button should be pushed sometimes around august.
this time, we want to get things done slightly faster - at least, we try. so we stick to
the good old diy-thing and grab shit with our own hands.
now let’s turn to the real thing again: soccer world cup.
may the german team plow the pitch and rock you like a hurricane.
all the best,
ira
